South Dakota is well known for its huge pheasant population worldwide. Our farms have such vast acreage that we can offer you a different field to hunt your rooster every day. A1 Pheasant Hunting operates within Lyman County which is perfect pheasant land. The Stanley family manages this prime South Dakota land so well that they have been successful in promoting a large natural pheasant hatch, perfect pheasant habitat conditions as well as excellent pheasant retention. We can thus offer you a very stable pheasant hunting environment.

Since 1945, South Dakota has had the largest pheasant population and our conditions are not about to change. We can offer you the utmost best rooster hunting experience you can imagine. Our hunting package includes guides that are experienced and will assist you all the way, trained hunting dogs to further assist you, 2 hot meals a day as well as a delicious field lunch, lodging, sporting clays along with instructions, bird cleaning and packaging, 3 birds a day, transportation to and from the fields as well as in between the fields and access to premium property.

If you are planning on hunting pheasants or a rooster by us, please ensure that you are equipped with a South Dakota hunting license. This can be obtained online from S.D Game Fish and Parks. You can also find handbooks containing the South Dakota hunting laws to ensure that you understand the rules and regulations very carefully. Although we supply you with hunting dogs, you may bring your own dog along as well provided that he is well behaved. We recommend that you train your dog well in advance to ensure a smooth hunting trip.

Although hunting a rooster is your number one priority, we ensure that safety is also a priority. We will give all the hunters a safety talk and we will then conduct a test to ensure that you will be safe during your hunting trip. If anyone goes against the laws and regulations, we reserve the right to terminate that hunt. This is for your own safety. Your lodging is included in the price and you have the choice of staying in a house, a lodge or an apartment. We can accommodate up to 30 hunters. We have all the amenities you will need and more.
